what an excellent buy, to clean up night time photos outside this filter is a must, I have attached two photo's testing the before and after of the filter and it works !!!!

Just received this so haven't been out and tried it yet but I've compared it's colour tone to a (much more expensive) Kase 150mm filter which makes me believe it'll be fine. It's packaged really well and has a brown leather-style pouch to store the filter which actually fits quite nicely into my Lowepro filter pouch - I think I'll keep it in that even in the pouch, not only to protect it but I'll be easily able to spot it in the dark! This glass filter fits perfectly in both my Nisi and Lee holder systems so I've given it five stars for the build quality and the fact it looks like it'll do what I need. I'll adjust this review if I discover otherwise when I've taken the first batch of photos with it.

So, let's start by saying what these filters (all, of any brand) DO NOT do. These filters do not remove light pollution. If so, you could photograph the Milky Way from the center of Rome or Milan and obviously this is not possible. Light pollution, when it exists, cannot in any way be removed. So what do these filters do? The street lamps of the cities almost all emit a light on the dark orange that gives an annoying dominant to the landscape and the sky. These filters do nothing but COUNTERBALANCE this dominant with a colder color and as a final result you have photographs with much less pronounced orange dominants and with bluer skies. This is what these filters do and in this case this does it quite well.

This a a great filter, I’m well impressed with the build quality. Unfortunately poor night sky viewing conditions have meant I’ve yet to see results but I expect very good results.

This is a specialised filter to remove the orange glow from sodium street lighting during night-sky photography.
It looks to be a quality product although, when I first saw it, I was surprised to see how lightly coloured the filter material seemed to be.
I have a small spectroscope and this showed that it is, in fact, a vary narrow band filter, which cuts out wavelengths around the orange sodium 'D-lines' but leaves the rest of the spectrum largely intact.
It works very well for me but is unlikely to be effective against newer types of broad-spectrum LED street lighting, so don't expect it to be a total 'cure-all'. I've taken off one star because of this limitation but it is very effective at what it does.

I didn't buy this filter I bought a 77 mm size and I am pleased with it at the price.
