A neutral lens kit is useful for reducing light and preventing over-exposure in photography and videography. This kit has three densities of neutral gray filters, a haze filter, a polarizing filter and a warming (pink) filter. It also comes with a flower-style lens hood (to prevent flare), a spare lens cap with attached leash. It comes in a folding nylon wallet with six mesh pockets for the filters. You also get the inevitable lens cloth, which with lens solution, can be used to remove fingerprints and smudges from the lens filters. This kit fits 58mm lenses. The case is very nice--holds these specialized filters in one place.I measured the effect of the ND filters on exposure on my T5i camera:ND2 reduces 1 stopND4 reduces 2 stopND8 reduces 3 stopThe other filters included are:UV/HazeWarming --reduces the blue effect of overcast situationsPolarizing (rotating style ring)I prefer a warming polarizer (Hoya 58mm Moose Peterson Warming Circular Polarizer Filter but when I don't want a brownish polarizer, this is handy. I prefer the warming filter as it's often humid and hazy here, and the warming filter removes the bluish cast a bit better. However, this is a standard, cool tone polarizer that most people like and it's better for outdoor portraits and sports photography.Slower shutter speeds are used to blur movement in subjects such as waterfalls, geysers, clouds, auto races, sports. If you darken the exposure, you can also use an open aperture, which reduces your depth of field, letting the subject be in focus while blurring the background.Set supplied by K&F in exchange for evaluation, testing and review.
