Let me be clear, I would have rated this a 5 star but from one shoot to the next this filter just seemed to have "Went out"I've been shooting for years, its not "user error". The photos were sharp with the filter even close to the max setting, I didn't get any "X" or crazy vignetting but I was using this filter on my 70-200 so that wouldn't have happened either way. But the filter started to cause the photos to come out horribly soft from one shoot to the next. I went into live view, zoomed in to 10x and tried to focus manually but the lens was still causing some major issues with it being soft as well as chromatic aberrations. I noticed even the boken in some of the photos looked to be scared and "torn" - even though the filter was always kept in the case when not being used, was never dropped, was never cleaned wrong, etc. Again it could be something I haven't thought about - but just putting this out there in case it happens to anyone else.

High optical quality filter, just like all their other products. I highly recommend this to all landscape photographers or anyone interested in experimenting with day long exposure as this is a convenient single piece which is affordable as well. It is easy to slide and the gradient change is noticeable yet subtle. It does not leave a colour cast nor does it affect optical quality. The filter may not be the thinnest but it does not leave any colour cast even with wideangle lenses. The luxorious little case and box that it comes in leaves little more to be desired for. This is indeed a top product for its price. I will be purchasing more of their products and will be recommending this to everyone at my workshop. This single piece saves you the trouble of having to keep changing filters which may cause damage or scratch your other filters or even worse, missing the perfect light of the moment.

There's a fair bit of the 'black X' effect when it's at a low ND, but a lot of variable ND's have this unless you're balling out on one. I used this every day on my trip to Australia and it worked a charm at allowing me to film at a wider aperture (or a narrow one on really sunny days) and also served as a lens protector

Right out of the box I noticed a sort of wavy texture to the glass on this filter. I knew I'd have some problems with it after seeing that, but I went ahead and tried it. Sure enough with my camera pointed towards the sky, at f/11 with a 3" shutter speed, there was noticeable distortion. It's not bad enough as to be unusable but I think at 25$ it could be better. I will upload a picture in the future.

I've had this ND filter for almost month and have used it for long exposure water shots, sunrises and more. Shooting a sunrise with a variable ND filter can be a challenge for the filter - vignetting, moire - any flaws. This filter performs like a champ. No distortion, moire, etc. Can shoot sunrises to your heart's content, even after the sun is over the horizon, without blowing out the photo - and still having a great looking photo.I included a photo - jpg right from the camera. It does get a little tough to turn in really cold weather.Great filter, always in my bag. Free sample provided for honest review.

Great for the Canon EOS 60D 5D Mark III! It easily removes any type of glare and brings too light to a dark picture. It's a great item. I highly recommend.

As mentioned in other reviews, it's great for long exposures, when I don't want to have so much light appearing in the camera. It fastens smoothly onto my lens and the it's hand rotatable, so I can change the level of light. This is great for some of the beach photography that I do. I have no complaints with this filter, I highly recommend it.

I bought and used this lens filter on my Canon 5D, and it works just as described! The color definitely stayed the same in my film, which was a concern of mine, so I'm happy to see that it wasn't affected. This lens filter is well made and sturdy. It certainly fit well on my camera with no problem. I'm happy that I get to adjust the levels of darkness with ease. Highly recommend!

I thought i'd try the budget option instead of the £100+ ones. I used this on a 10-22 lens & as the furthest angles there is a bit of darkness but its a case of zooming in a bit. Some points from my testing:-The screw thread it rather fiddly to put on but can deal with that.-The lens cover won't go on top-Worked brilliantly for very bright sunshine & sunsets (unedited pic attached)
