This is the 3rd 58mm I have bought, the other 2 were a lot more expensive. This holds up to them equally in nearly every way. There is no stop on either end of the throw, so without looking it's had to guage at what stop you're shooting, and it is labelled min to max, rather than by stop also. After a bit of playing though, it is as good as it's more expensive rivals. Very affordable, very affective. Would recommend

Customer service was an A+. Had a problem with the filter and messaged the seller and they helped me troubleshoot my problem. I was getting a harsh blue cast on my pictures at the highest ND setting, and the customer service rep says that this happens with all ND filters even the good ones. Said to change my focal length and that should solve the problem (which I'll try my next time I go out shooting and report back here). For the price I definitely recommend.

I love the idea, but I'm going to get a better quality one. When using this, my images look soft and noisy. I wanted to love it, but now I prefer no to use it. On top of that, I would prefer some markings on the side just to get a better idea of how far around I've gone to make adjustments easier

Took it out to the beach today in bright sunlight and saw the vignetting and the black "X" that folks have been talking about, opted to shoot without the filter because that's just unacceptable for any final images.

I received the wrong item the firs time, but the company made sure to send me the right item for the second time. The customer service is wonderful.It fits my lens greatly and performs wonderfully, I shot a music video over the weekend and it was very sunny. With this filter I was able to use a low aperture while not having an over exposed image. I like K&D products, for the price they sell great useful items.

A good budget ND Filter to Get you started.This is a decent starter ND Filter, it gets the job done and I didn't notice a huge impact on image quality when using. It's very useful being able to have one filter on and simply turning it to adjust the intensity.One negative is that at the highest ND setting you do get a X shape appear on the image, this is common with most variable filters and makes it unusable at the higher intensities.However for the price you can't go wrong with this even if you only use it for the lower ND intensities.Definitely recommend for beginners who want to learn more about filters and experiments until you have the confidence to drop a much larger sum of money on high quality filters.
