It is great for my filters (58-82mm). I keep it in the camera bag, so no experience with the belt loop.

Works great for storing lens filters, but I keep it in my camera bag. I do not use it on my belt, so I cant speak to the dust/water resistance however I feel that looking at the design it should be more than adequate for dust and rain resistant. Its a Velcro flap that snugly covers the filters so it obviously not waterproof if submerged in water, likewise If you are walking through the desert and get sucked into a sand pit by one of those sand pit monsters from star wars, you will likely find that there is some sand that got in. However, if you need a place to store your filters and are not subjecting yourself to situations that you would otherwise need a pelican case for, this item should more than meet your needs.

This is a pretty nice little filter case for the money. The four inside filter slots offer a lot of padding between the filters as well as on the sides. Very nice if you drop them.My one and only gripe about this product is that the velcro flap that secures all your filters in the case doesn't exactly seal tight. The flap will stand out on top of the case, letting dust and dirt into your filters. BUT I have found a pretty simple and cheap fix to the problem! All you need to do is buy an adhesive velcro strip and apply it just below the already existing velcro strip in the front of the pouch. Boom, now you can close the flap as tight as you want! (I've included photos so you can visually see what I mean by all this)I would recommend this product to pretty much any photographer, just need to mention my fix as well.

I mostly like this case. I no longer have to keep four jewel filter cases in my bag, and can swap them out easier. The filters *do* get dusty though. I keep this case inside a pocket of my bag that holds this case and my shutter release cables and isn't exposed to the elements all that often. Filters still get dusty. It's just the facts, really. Before I go on a trip I go through the filters and dust them all off carefully, and give them a quick once over with a microfiber cloth in the field if I sense any dust. It almost certainly won't be visible in my images below F/16 or so, but it bothers me just enough for me to want to clean them.

I'm currently using this to hold 3 filters I recently purchased for an upcoming trip and have been dragging it around NYC and surrounds on test runs in the meantime. I've seen a bunch of negative reviews regarding the open edges, etc. and while, yes, they are open, I would argue that the downside of this really depends on where you store it and how you use it. Mine lives in a closed off pouch of a Lowepro bag and, so far, the pocketing has been a non-issue. In top of that, the filters sit very deep within the pouch itself. Unless you're carrying it exposed, I feel like it should be pretty simple to keep this from impacting the cleanliness/safety of your filters. Understandably, there may be a time where you've gotta take it out in a less than desirable location, but you're going to have to take the filter out at that point anyway.

The problem with this filter pouch is the closure isn't tight. The filters can't fall out unless you leave the flap open; they will easily slip out then. I almost lost a filter while shooting because of this (and yes, I know it would have been my fault). The flap also isn't very secure. They would do well to make the velcro tighter for more grab and a tighter closure.Overall fine for what it does, but I'd rather have a wallet style, I think.

Perfect solution for storing a Tiffen 77mm triple close-up lens set. I'm actually surprised that Tiffen doesn't offer this with the lenses- its a needed item if you don't want them scratched.
