Disclaimer. I received the product from the manufacturer specifically for review. My review is based on my personal opinion of the product and is based on my experience using it.The flash is very well packaged and arrives very promptly. In the box is the flash, a quality case and a stand allowing use off camera. There is also a very effective diffuser that pops over the flash head for a nice diffuse light to soften shadows. There are 2 slave modes allowing you to use the flash as a secondary fill in flash off camera one synchronises with the first flash it "sees" the other with the main flash after a pre flash. The function appears to be light triggered rather than a wireless triggering which can be a problem if your flash is hidden behind an object to provide a rear fill flash. The flash head is movable to left right and rear and has a pull out reflector for bounced flash. The flash also includes a zoom facility allowing you to have the correct light spread with common focal length lenses. The zoom function is manual and you do need to set this correctly as you shoot. There is also a very handy strobe function with the flash, you can set a longish exposure and capture multiple images of a moving object moving through the field of view, good for some impressive shots especially against a black background. There are a few limitations with the flash; there is no TTL function so on camera this does operate as a basic hot shoe flash. You will need to set the output correctly for the shot you are taking and you will have to set the zoom manually. This is however not a great issue given the price of this kit. My main flash is a fully featured TTL head and it cost many times more than this one. At this price, the KF570II is an excellent flash and will serve you well as long as you accept there are some things you will need to do manually.

I was sent this item to review. In my line of work, one of my jobs is to take photographs of events and activities that go on in the school I work at. I am by no means a professional photographer, but I wouldn’t call myself a complete newbie. I’ve got a basic grasp of cameras and how they work etc as well as being pretty tech savvy. This flash gun from my point of view is fantastic. From the outset, it is packaged fantastically, firstly coming in strong cardboard casing and then in its own ‘product box’. Inside is a case, the flash, a cover for the top of the flash and an instruction booklet. The English section of the manual is located towards the back, fear not.Once I’d loaded it up with 4 x AA batteries (not supplied) I powered it up to the sound of nice little jingle. I noticed that the blue ‘flash’ light had illuminated so I gave it press. Once my eye sight had been restored, I realised that this button sets the flash off!! Using the mount on the flash gun, I slid it on to my camera (an Olympus E-M10) and turned the camera on. As soon as I pressed the button to take a picture the flash gun fired automatically. No need to change settings or anything like that – it just worked! I was very surprised. On the top of the flash gun, there is a pull out diffuser should you require it and on the back is an LCD display (which illuminates if you need it to) which enables you to manipulate settings such as number of flashes, frequency of flashes as well as some ‘slave mode’ settings and others that I’m non-too familiar with at the minute (I guess this might spur me on to learn!)I am really, really impressed with this flash gun. For the price, it seems to be a great bargain. I’ve added a couple of photos of the item and is packaging as well as a couple of photos taken with and without the flash gun attached.Overall, this is a great flash gun which I think is perfect for someone looking to add one to their set up, but with a low budget.

Supplied for review. You can't take proper photos without a proper flash.don't you just hate flash? I mean generally its' actually the worst and I don't know who even uses it. What you need is a bounce flash. This bounce flash can act as a normal flash if you tilt it forwards but when you tilt it upwards you basically illuminate your room for a split second and the idea is that you achieve perfect illumination without shining a light in someone's face and making them look really ugly/see loads of reflections. This works on anything and normally when I take pictures of things in low light it really annoys me but with this you can take the perfect photos.See my photos for pictures of the product and I really should show some pictures that I have taken with this flash!!I didn't bother reading the manual and I have never used one before but I just played with the settings a bit until I got the photo I wanted and I think I would be able to do that in the future too - it is not too hard but takes about 10 minutes to get the hang of it!Please feel free to ask any questions or make a comment. It also comes with a stand so you can use it as a wireless flash gun.

I was very excited to be asked to review this flash because as a family we are trying hard to develop photography skills. it seemed to be well made and well thought out. Then we panicked ! Would this damage what to us was our expensive camera? My daughter in law has just started a photography course and took the flash to her lecturer for advice. Advice was that was a very good flash a very good price. Her only criticism is that it was a little noisy when operating. My daughter in law is now happily experimenting and getting good results using flash with her Nikon 3200.Sent in exchange for honest review

It’s not often I use a flash as I tend to use mostly f/1.2, f/1.4, f/1.8, f/2.0 lenses wide open and with high ISO settings. But there has been times lately where there has been little light and I have found recently that a flash has been essential.I have not long owned my Speedlite by K&F and only used it on 4-5 occasions. I cannot be without it now and keep it in my kit bag at all times. When it first arrived like most things being inpatient like I am I tend to not read instruction manuals and most cases this is not the right thing to do. Well it completely surprised me that when I put the batteries into the flash and mounted it onto my hotshoe on my camera and turned the power on, the pilot button lit up blue indicating it was ready to trigger.I pressed the shutter on my camera and it worked immediately. My first thought was surely it can’t be that easy. I looked at the image on my canon camera. It was fantastic. I took several other shots. A few being over exposed. I quickly got use to being able to change the flash power settings both up and down. I soon got use to it…. taking photo’s of anything and everything around the house. This is exactly what I needed in a flash. Something not too complicated. It was then I looked through the instruction manual to see what it’s capabilities were. The Speedlight can be angled up and down 90 degrees and the head can also be adjusted left & right 270 degrees.I have learn’t how to bounce the flash using the different angles and I love this function especially seeing how shadows at different angles can change how an image looks. With the built in diffuser the flash is very versatile.I am knew to flash photography and I am enjoying this experience and I can honestly say that I feel my photography has gone up a step. There is a high speed burst mode which I have not experimented yet with. What I also like about this flash is that it recycles very quickly. It is a well made flash and comes with a free foot and a nicely made pouch protector. It looks and feels an expensive item. I am extremely pleased with it and believe it is very good value for money and I highly recommend it.

If you are seriously into photography a speedlight is a valuable asset that can help you get the lighting just right, which I have found to be particularly helpful when dealing with portrait shots. I have worked with other K&F Concept products and have had consistently good experiences with them so I expected the same from this speedlight. I have not been disappointed. I encountered a couple of minor speed bumps along the way, based largely on learning curve. This is a sizeable device, and it has a bit of heft to it when the batteries are installed. Please make sure you have proper support for the camera when you are using this light as it can unbalance the camera and make it awkward to use. This is not specific to this particular speedlight but to speedlights in general.First things first – this thing takes 4 AA batteries and that adds weight. The battery compartment is easily accessible and it is easy enough to install the batteries. The controls on this light are very straightforward though knowing what the settings do is a different matter. If you do not know what slave mode is or how the settings relate to the zoom, you are going to find yourself frustrated. It took a little bit of research and some experimentation to get the hang of this light and I have found the best use for me is to use it in slave mode to supplement the lighting my the flash that came with my camera, though through the hot shoe I can install it on my camera.Read the manual that comes with it. It will help a lot in learning how to use this light properly. The light comes with a small stand so it can be set up independently from the camera and in that manner it can be used as a standalone flash. Turning on slave mode allows for positioning it so that it can add the right balance of light in reaction to the flash on the camera and as a result you can get very good backlighting. The mode button on the back of this light allows for switching between modal settings and making adjustments, There are also 4 directional buttons that are used for making individual setting adjustments such as zoom. There is the on/off switch which toggles power but also toggles the backlight on the LCD display. Finally, there is a flash button that allows for activating the flash manually. The flash can be fired repeatedly in manual mode but seems to be on a 3-second recharge when not so.The light has 90 degrees of freedom of movement so that it can be positioned as desired. I like the fact that the neck has angular measures on it for 45, 60 and 75 degrees,Be aware that this speedlight is not universal and does not work on all cameras. It works fine with a Canon camera; my Samsung camera does not register the presence of this flash at all so to use it with my Samsung camera I have no choice but to use it in manual or slave mode. This is a nice speedlight and it works well, It is not the fanciest or most expensive but it gets the basics down very well and it has not let me down. This is an affordable speedlight and it is good for the photographer who wants to learn how to improve their lighting techniques.Disclosure: I was provided a sample of this product in exchange for a fair, honest and thorough review. Even though I received this product at no/minimal cost I have rated and reviewed this product without bias, based solely on my experience with it.
