To be honest I am actually new to security cameras. My parents usually have them all over our house and after getting my own place I needed a camera for baby monitoring. This was a very good product surprisingly I got it for a great price after digital coupons and other deals!! I have two now but planning to use the other as security behind a window or on our wall facing the front door and windows. If you are not aware, the camera can be propped to a wall and focused as it it is a security camera (not upside down since I didn’t try that). Motion detecting is easy, And I can turn the alerts on/off. Of course your phone will always ping if you put it in a place that has a lot of motion (like living room or facing the outdoors).Storing recordings was easy. I have an SD card in each and can playback recordings (if there’s motion detected) up to a month+ (32gb) and still counting! I can access the live feed anywhere as well (of course on the app connected to internet). It lets me record videos into clips or save them as photos and then I can save it directly on my phone (you can purchase cloud storage but I have a separate cloud I can save files into). I can share the app with my hubby too and he can have similar privileges.Setting it up was easy, I actually set the first one at my parents place using their WiFi to test it out, then came to my place and reset the camera and set it up all over again which didn’t take long.Night vision is automatic (and I think you can manually turn it on as well) but since it’s auto it’ll turn on and off. There’s a 1sec delay when it changes screen visions, but it continues to record if there’s motion!There’s a speaker function which I can hold the button and talk through the camera. It’s not super loud which is good so you don’t scare anyone like your baby. I can also hear the recordings but be careful listening live feed near the camera.The cord must always be connected for the camera to be on and is standard (like your android phone charger) and very long. At least I know I have a bunch of extra cords I can use in case I need one!Picture quality is good, of course you can see everything clearly and in night vision there are spots you can’t see because if shadow. But it is good quality and I feel it is perfect for my needs.Very nice product overall and happy with the purchase.Also there’s a ton of FAQs on the app, when I had trouble setting it up again because my WiFi was acting up, the instructions helped a lot!
