Two Out of Two: Terribly Inflated Step Count
There's a lot to like about this watch. The wireless charging is really well implemented. Just throw it down flat on a Qi compatible charger, and it charges. The display isn't bad at all, though it's not AMOLED, and the battery life is great. The heart rate measurement is accurate when compared to my other watches and fitness bands. It's lacking in accurate sleep detection, but it's not abysmal. The real problem, and unfortunately it's with one of the core features of any fitness watch, is that the step count is at least 4 to 5 times higher than it should be, and that includes:Counting putting the watch on and taking it off. That's about 100 steps. Sitting watching TV whilst just moving your hand occasionally like any normal living person would do, can add on hundreds of steps. Walking across the room and back - BING - another hundred steps. At times you can literally watch the step counter spiral out of control. The company's tech support is excellent, in that they replaced the watch (after reminding me that swinging my arm counts as steps) for me very promptly. The second watch behaves in exactly the same manner. It's really a shame, because they got a lot right with this watch. The step count issue is, in my opinion, faulty by design, as I can't imagine getting back to back defective watches. So, don't buy this for step counting.
