Right out of the box, this K&F Concept tripod looked amazing. Build quality and materials are both impressive, with really well-thought out features. It blows away my Manfrotto MK294KIT, the main tripod I had been using to film my video reviews. It's also very lightweight, at around 4 lbs. If you're out in the field, every ounce matters.The amount of articulation and customizability is simply astounding, being able to be configured into any angle imaginable for your shot. The locking collars and knobs are secure and very easy to turn. All the joints have rubber gaskets so they won't lose their grip. The center column can be removed and used as a monopod, which makes is ultra portable and versatile for outdoor shots.My only complaint is that the mount plate is somewhat awkward to remove and put back on. What I like about the Manfrotto is that it has a quick release spring. Here with this K&F tripod, you have to twist a thumb screw and then slide the plate on or off. The mount is universal and can be used with any device that has the mounting hole, including kids cameras and cell phone holders.I also miss having handles. Handles offer better control and finer adjustability.Lastly, it comes with a nice carrying case with a shoulder strap. The zipper is straight-forward and opens like a duffel bag (across the top), unlike my Manfrotto case which is a pain to use.
